Side Effect-Free Chemotherapy

Live Beyond.

Life beyond a cancer diagnosis is often bleak.
But with Side Effect-Free Chemotherapy, it doesn’t have to be.

There are 9.5 million cancer-related deaths worldwide every year. The tragedy of cancer is that the treatment is often worse than the disease. For generations, a definitive cure for cancer has been just out of reach. Researchers and clinicians know that existing drugs could be used to cure cancer if only they were not so toxic to normal tissues.

Cancer agents have side effects because their effects are not limited to cancer cells. Chemo agents target any rapidly dividing cancer cells, causing collateral damage in the cells of the bone marrow, gastrointestinal tract, and hair follicles. This damage leads to the familiar side effects commonly associated with chemotherapy—such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hair loss, and increased susceptibility to infections.

Efforts to mitigate these side effects have focused on delivering medications exclusively to cancer cells, but Dr. Matsumura and his team of dedicated scientists at the ALIN Foundation, tried a different approach: protect the body utilizing chemo agent antidotes to neutralize the toxic effects in specific areas of the body. These antidotes are generic and already FDA-approved, making them affordable and readily available.

SEF Chemo protects healthy cells, enabling cancer agents to be used at higher doses to safely eradicate the cancer.

Using common FDA-approved antidotes to chemo agents, ALIN Foundation developed a new strategy that virtually eliminates the side effects of chemotherapy, while making chemo agents more effective. Side Effect-Free, Neutrophil-Potentiated Chemotherapy (SEF Chemo® – pronounced SAFE Chemo) protects healthy dividing cells during chemotherapy, minimizing toxicity, and ensuring the patient's immune system can naturally amplify the effectiveness of the therapy.

There is a well-known process within the body's immune system, called the Neutrophil Cascade, in which certain neutrophil cells circulate in the body to identify damaged cells so that other neutrophil cells can track down and dissolve these damaged cells. It is a mechanism organisms have evolved to rid the body of damaged and aging cells. While undergoing conventional chemotherapy, chemo agents are introduced into the body to neutralize rapidly dividing cancerous cells, and neutrophil cells in the bone marrow become collateral damage. This leaves surviving cancerous cells, that were merely damaged, able to recover and continue to spread. SEF Chemo protects neutrophil cells, allowing the patient's immune system to naturally amplify the effectiveness of the therapy.

SEF Chemo research is ongoing. We’re continuing to evaluate the new therapy on diverse types of cancer. SEF Chemo has had positive progress with various types of cancers but has achieved particular success with bladder, breast, cervical, colon, liver, lung, melanoma, ovarian, pancreatic, and prostate cancers, as well as in cancers that conventional chemotherapy has limited use in, such as soft tissue sarcoma and hepato-cellular carcinoma. SEF Chemo patients have achieved long-term remission with our longest survivors living strong over a decade after therapy. The hope is that one day the cure doesn't have to be worse than the disease.
